Board members of coworking Switzerland are all coworking operators. They give a lot of their free time to make the association alive.
The term “Coworking” already appears in 17th century when Religious-Leader proclaim 1629 that we are “Coworkers of the higher realm”.
However, the Coworking movement in today’s sense started in 2005 when digital Nomad Brad Neuburg started the first Coworking Space to work and share ideas together. 2007 marks the beginning of the coworking movement in Switzerland, when Citizen Space, the first Coworking Space, was founded.
The Coworking Switzerland Association was founded on 17 March 2015 in Zurich. 12 Members signed up that day in the Impact Hub Zurich. Since then a lot has happened and we are currently counting around 150 full members. The world of work is still changing and so the public interest in Coworking and Coworking Spaces as a symbol for New work is huge.
